What we can do for you…
Provide you with networks
The Association encourages networking so members can learn from each other's experience and expertise in a wide range of travel awareness matters, from curriculum links, to useful partners and funding opportunities. You will be invited to your region’s regular network meetings to discuss the latest issues and to raise new ones.
Our members are experts in the following kind of initiatives and can help you:
The Annual National TravelWise Conference
A vital networking forum and members are entitled to a considerable discount and this year will host the first TravelWise award ceremony
Members of the NTWA actively work with all the stakeholders who have an influence on the need to travel. Many have developed successful close links with businesses, health organisations and environmental organisations across the country.
NEW website www.travelwise.org.uk
It contains a wealth of information and resources. There is a member bulletin board and also events and training opportunities such as house movers. You can update your own contact details as well as asking regional representatives to upload news, events and even job vacancies on your behalf.
NEW national marketing coordinator
Promotes the role and aims of the organisation at appropriate levels nationally
NEW TravelWise excellence awards
The TravelWise Excellence Awards will recognise areas such as best travel plan, most effective awareness campaign and best individual newcomer. The first of these awards will take place in November at the annual conference.
Members are able to use the TravelWise Registered Trademark. This is used by 160 authorities who have joined the NTWA and is increasingly becoming the recognised national brand for sustainable travel promotion.
